Rock 'N Roll Thursday
It's Rock 'N Roll Retro Thursday, Piggies & Pals with a banger from piggy cover band Van Haylen! 🐹 ❤️ 🖤 ❤️ 💽 💽 💽 📻 🥕
Wheeked to the tune of "Jump", Van Halen, 1983
"🎶 Well, I get up!
And I sniff around
And the food bowl’s empty!
Not a pellet found
I ain’t the piggy
To just sit and wait
When I hear that fridge door
Time to accelerate!
And I know, piggy, just how you feel
You see the lettuce and it starts gettin’ real!
Ahhh!
Can’t you see me "Pop"
Corn!
Might as well "Pop" (corn)!
Go ahead and "Pop" (corn)!
Van Haylen exploded onto the wheek-rock scene with blistering guitar solos, dramatic wheeking vocals, and enough stage hay to feed a small herd.
Fronted by the wildly energetic David Hay Roth, the band became famous for outrageous popcorn-leap stage moves, flashy spandex, giant fur floofs, and arena anthems like “Panama Hay,” and “Runnin’ with the Pellet Devil.”
Guitar legend Eddie Van Haylen dazzled fans with lightning-fast shredded lettuce solos while Alex Van Haylen rattled the drums like he’d just heard the refrigerator vegetable drawer open. Together, they became one of the most legendary acts in classic guinea pig rock history.
You might as well ... Pop! Popcorn, that is!
Listen to the original in the comments for some pigspiration!
Wheek! Wheek!
