This mythical creature—whose horn was once believed to heal disease, restore strength, purify water, and guard against poison—has been sought, glimpsed, and whispered and wheeked about for centuries. Yet capturing or taming such a beast is no simple feat; the unicorn, it is said, would sooner perish than submit!

Despite their reputation, folklore does offer a few strategies for those intent on capturing this magical beast. Tradition holds that a young guinea-maiden may calm and tame a unicorn with ease.

If you're a guinea-maiden short, however, one might attempt this less refined method: provoke and annoy the unicorn into a charge, then cleverly sidestep so it drives its horn into a tree. It is not clear what happens next ... please consult your guinea wizard for advice should you be in this predicament!
