Tae Kwan Do Day
Wheeeeeee-hiya, PIggies! It's Tae Kwan Do Day! 🐹 🤍 💛 🧡 💙 💚 ❤️ 🖤 🥋 🥕
The kick of a trained black-belt guinea pig has real carrot-slicing force! But remember, piggies, we only use our skill in martial arts for self-defense!
Tae Kwon Do Guinea Style is a Korean martial art known for its powerful kicks and biting techniques. Meaning "the way of the foot and teeth," it emphasizes agility, speed, and discipline. Beyond its physical aspects, Tae Kwon Do teaches self-control, respect, and perseverance in defending the food bowl, making it a holistic practice for both piggy body and piggy mind.
If you have a piggy in training, you know these belt colors well.
White Belt (The Nibbler-in-Training): Just learning the ropes—ropes made of hay, that is. These guinea pigs are still mastering the basics, like not falling over during a spin kick or mistaking their uniform for a snack.
Yellow Belt (The Cautious Kicker): Starting to show some moves, but only after carefully assessing if that high kick will reach the target opponent. They approach every sparring match like it’s a cautious sniff and nibble on a new vegetable.
Green Belt (The Grasshopper Guinea): Now gaining confidence and bouncing and popcorning around with energy. They’re quick to show off their jump kicks—when they’re not distracted by that tantalizing green lettuce in the corner. Discipline, pigs!
Blue Belt (The Brave Wheeker): No longer afraid to wheek loudly during sparring. Their technique is improving, but they still pause occasionally for a water bottle refresher and to make sure the belt is still around the waist, not the neck.
Red Belt (The Fierce Forager): These guinea pigs are at the top of their game, combining speed and power. When they’re not practicing, they’re clearing and tipping out all the food bowls with lightning speed—after all, a full chonky stomach is the ultimate fuel for battle!
Black Belt (The Master of Munch): A true guinea pig warrior, mastering not only every move but also the art of balancing training with snack time. Their kicks are sharp, their fur is sleek, and they can snap a carrot into pieces with one mighty kick of the paw (front or back)!
Wheek! Wheek!
