Puppy Day!
It's Puppy Day, Piggies! Wheek! Wheek! Woof! Woof! 🐹 🤎 🤎 🤎 🐶 🐶 🐶 🐾 🐾 🐾 🥕
Guinea pigs may be the reigning champions of cuteness (obviously), but puppies give them a very serious run for their carrots! 🐶🥕
Humans can experience something called “cute overload”—that almost-too-much feeling when you see tiny noses, big eyes, and round little faces. Guinea pigs have mastered this look, but baby animals of all kinds tap into it!
Scientists call it the “baby schema,” and it’s what makes us instantly want to scoop them up and protect them. Sometimes it even turns into “cute aggression”—that urge to squeeze something because it’s just so adorable.
And it’s not just the usual stars—puppies, kittens, and piggies. Even the most unexpected baby animals are considered too cute by some people. Here's some more unusual ones that people go gah-gah over:
🦇 Baby fruit bats (with their tiny, puppy-like faces and wrapped wings)
🦔 Baby hedgehogs (soft quills and button noses)
🦥 Baby sloths (slow, gentle, and permanently “smiling”)
🦭 Baby seals (big eyes and plump, marshmallow-like bodies)
🧬 Baby axolotls (frilly gills and permanently curious expressions)
🐣 Baby chicks of unusual birds (like owls or kiwis, often adorably awkward)
🦘 Baby quokkas (often called the “happiest” little faces)
🍉 Baby tapirs (with their spotted, watermelon-like stripes)
Goodness gracious!
Wheek! Wheek!
