No Bra Day
O BRA OR NOT TO BRA, THAT IS THE QUESTION ... APPARENTLY! πΉ π π π π π π π ποΈ ποΈ ποΈ π₯
Do you have a PPOL β Personal Pig of Lingerie β to advise you on such matters? Apparently, an astonishing number of ladies are wandering around in the wrong bra size. Who knew? ππ€
But seriously, folks... No Bra Day, observed during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is associated with raising awareness of breast health. π
And there really is a piggie connection: guinea pigs can develop mammary lumps and tumors too β both females and males β so regular hands-on checks are a useful part of keeping an eye on piggie health. πΉ β€οΈ
The modern brassiere also has an interesting history. In 1914, 20-year-old New York socialite Mary Phelps Jacob patented a brassiere after discovering that her fashionable evening gown and the rigid corset underneath were simply not on speaking terms. ππ
βBring me two of my pocket handkerchiefs and some pink ribbon,β she reportedly told her maid. A little strategic sewing later, they had created a light, backless undergarment that suited the new fashions and offered considerably more freedom of movement. Jacob patented it, and the rest, as they say, is lingerie history.
We should all have a maid we can summon at a momentβs notice to attend to our needs.
Oh, wait. The piggies already do.
Wheek! Wheek!
