Gardening can be a risky business when a certain blue-jacketed (gang sign) rabbit is on the loose! 🥕🐇

Today marks the birthday of Beatrix Potter, born on July 28, 1866, whose mischievous Peter Rabbit has been sneaking into Mr. McGregor's vegetable patch—and into readers' hearts—for more than a century.

She created many delightful animal characters and illustrations, including The Amiable Guinea Pig, one of the charming little figures in Appley Dapply's Nursery Rhymes. True to his name, Potter's guinea pig is the very picture of good manners—cheerful, gentle, friendly, and content. He is depicted as a well-behaved little fellow who quietly enjoys his vegetables and goes about his day without causing the slightest bit of trouble.

You may have an amiable guinea pig like that. Or you may have a very naughty guinea pig who is the troublemaker of the herd and tosses his/her head at you, tips the food dish, intimidates the other piggies, tries to nibble you to express displeasure, or something else which makes you wonder if they were brought up very badly. 🤪

If so, keep them away from naughty rabbits!
