🎨 A Sunday Afternoon... with Guinea Pigs! 🥕🐹

Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, painted between 1884 and 1886, is one of the masterpieces of Post-Impressionism. Rather than blending colors on his palette, Seurat painstakingly placed thousands of tiny dots of pure color side by side, allowing the viewer's eye to mix them into shimmering light—a technique known as Pointillism.

His calm riverside scene has captivated visitors for well over a century. What few art historians know, however, is that Seurat had an eager guinea pig disciple who embraced the same technique but preferred a more edible palette. Instead of tiny dots of paint, this artistic little cavy worked entirely in veggie colors—specks of parsley green, carrot orange, beetroot red, and romaine lettuce.

Sadly, most masterpieces disappeared as the viewing herd tended to nibble the paintings
