Dragon Con Days

Oh My Guinea Pig! It's Dragon Con time! Costume up, Piggies! 🐹 💙 ❤️ 💛 🖤 🐉 🐉 🐉

Founded in Atlanta in 1987, Dragon Con began as a relatively modest gathering for fans of science fiction, fantasy, comics, gaming and popular culture. Held each Labor Day weekend, it has since grown into a sprawling celebration that fills several downtown hotels with elaborate costumes, celebrity guests, panels, parades—and tens of thousands of enthusiastic humans (and probably guinea pigs) wearing capes and costumes!

Yet one of Dragon Con’s most beloved celebrities was never listed in the program: the famously dizzying carpet in the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. When the original pattern was replaced, fans commemorated it with costumes, artwork, souvenirs, tribute tartan, and an affectionate following known as the Cult of the Marriott Carpet.

The Cavy Cosplay Crew had heard about the Cult of the Carpet, but apparently misunderstood the nature of its sacred floor covering.

Please remain calm. Convention volunteers have been notified—and the guinea pigs have been escorted to the nearest designated litter area. 🤪
