Cthulhu—ancient, unknowable, and first described by H. P. Lovecraft in The Call of Cthulhu (1928)—lies dreaming in the sunken city of R’lyeh, waiting for that fateful alignment of the stars. When the time comes, his awakening is said to herald chaos, upheaval… and, in today’s interpretation, possibly a very dramatic WHEEEEK echoing from deep within the habitat.

In his original form, Cthulhu is a vast and monstrous figure—part human, part octopus, part dragon—winged, tentacled, and utterly beyond comprehension. In his cavy incarnation, those same elements become… a bit more chonkier and a lot more hungry! You had better have your fresh green offerings at the ready!

Mysteriously, and strangely, Cthulhu is making a comeback this year, with a video game and more! Is the public being prepared for dark, green, cosmic entities to emerge from the oceans!
