If you ever wanted to know what guinea pigs might sound like if they released a Christmas album, listen to the chipmunks in the comments below! Your herd could be the next musical sensation!
"๐ต Christmas, Christmas time is near
Time for toys and time for cheer
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast
Want a plane that loops the loop
Me, I want a hula-hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please, Christmas, don't be late"
Of all the Boy Bands of late, this might be the cutest trio. Alvin, Simon, and Theodore - where chipmunks or cavia porcellus, this novelty song from 1958 is instantly recognizable and in the key of WHEEK, perfect for guinea pigs!
The cartoon history of Alvin and the Chipmunks actually grew out of their success as a music act! The Chipmunks debuted on record in 1958, when creator Ross Bagdasarian Sr. released novelty songs using a tape-speed technique that produced their famous high-pitched voices, including the holiday hit Christmas Time (Is Here Again).
Their massive popularity on radio and records led to their television debut in 1961 with The Alvin Show, followed by later revivals such as the popular 1980s Alvin and the Chipmunks and the modern ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks.
Wheek! Wheek!
