Antonio Delle Vedove

 

A painter of portraits and still life, Antonio Delle Vedove was born in Veneto and studied at the Fine Art Academy of Venice, sponsored by a wealthy patron lady who recognized his painting talents. Delle Vedove later taught at the Academy as well as spent many years in South America where he painted many portraits.

He died in an air raid on Florence, Italy in 1944 near Ponte Vecchio in his studio.
