Chocolate Mint Day

Feb 18

DO YOU LIKE YOUR GUINEA PIG WITH A HINT O' MINT? CHOCOLATE, MINT, GUINEA PIG ... A PERFECT TRIO OF DELIGHTFUL THINGS FOR CHOCOLATE MINT DAY!🍫

Hoteliers take note! Finding a chocolate mint and a complimentary guinea pig on your pillow in a hotel could be the ultimate in luxury!

Are you a fan of chocolate and mint together? While chocolate is a no-no for guinea pigs, many piggies do enjoy an occasional small mint leaf, which adds to their already fresh piggy breath. Mint, like many other herbs in the mint family (basil, thyme, lavender, lemon balm, oregano, sweet marjoram, rosemary, sage, savory, summer savory, anise hyssop, and germander) should be used carefully with animals as they have many strong compounds and have a long history of culinary and medicinal usages.

Some favorite chocolate mints that many people have fond associations with are:

Aero Peppermint
Andes Chocolate Mints
Frango Mints
Hershey's Mint Chocolate Chips
Laura Secord French Mint
Lindt Mint Intense
Mint patties with chocolate
After Eight mints
Fry's Peppermint Cream
Haviland Thin Mints
Hershey's York Peppermint Patties
Junior Mints
Pearson's Chocolate Mint Patties

Would have to choose the York Peppermint Patties as my favourite! #wheekwheek
